I don't agree with the "celebration" of this day because if you ask me, I think it's pure marketing. As they saw in-love people spending large amounts of money shopping for presents, booking fancy restaurants and traveling, they had the brilliant idea to widen the gap and invite friends to the party. Great business!!
Love and friendship have to be celebrated every day, and they don't need expensive details.
Hey! You have to buy something for the one you love and invite him/her out, but don't forget about your friends!!! Spend!! Spend!! Spend!!!

Here in Spain Valentine's day is only for couples. But I'm sure we'll import that tradition once El Corte Ingles discovers the potential of celebrating friendship ;-)
I don't like that day either. I love celebrating things but I don't think buying presents and expending money is a good way to celebrate something (love or friendship) that has so little to do with material things. Besides, if it's a day to show your couple or friends you love them, it would be better to do the opposite. The rest of the days of the year would be love and friendship's days and Valentine's day just a day for yourself. What do you think?? Hahaha
Kisses and happy friendship's day, my friend!!!!!
